Grant Description
The W H Gladstones Population and Environment Fund provides one research grant of up to $24,000 (GST exclusive) every two years to support empirical research examining how the size, distribution, material aspirations and other characteristics of Australia’s population affect the environment, including land, landscape, social cohesion, health, the economy and defence. Established in 2010 through a philanthropic bequest from Dr William H Gladstones, the fund aims to strengthen evidence-based understanding of population pressures and their ecological and societal consequences, including international population dynamics that may impact Australia.
