The Victim Financial Help program provides financial assistance to individuals affected by violent crime in the Northern Territory. The program aims to reduce the financial burden faced by victims and their families by covering costs such as medical treatment, counselling, lost income, funeral expenses, and relocation. Grants of up to $40,000 are available for primary and secondary victims, with up to $10,000 for financial loss included in that amount. Family victims may claim up to $10,000 for financial loss, and interim or funeral assistance is also available. The program supports recovery, safety, and wellbeing for victims of violence.
