Grant Description

The Australia for UNHCR – SBS Les Murray Award for Refugee Recognition celebrates the talent, creativity, and courage of refugees who have settled in Australia and who actively promote positive awareness and understanding of refugees and forcibly displaced people. The Award honours individuals who use their lived experience, voice, and public engagement to foster inclusion and compassion within Australian society. One recipient is selected and receives a $10,000 award, generously donated by SBS, in recognition of their ongoing advocacy and contribution.
