Grant Description

Tarbell Grants aim to support original reporting on artificial intelligence and its societal impacts by providing awards of up to USD 15,000 (approx. $22,855.50 AUD) to experienced journalists—including staff writers, editors, producers, and freelancers—to produce forward-looking stories across five critical AI beats: frontier AI companies, national/international policymaking, government and military integration, capabilities and evaluations, and the future of work and society.
