Grant Description
The Submetering Grant is a NSW Government initiative under the Business Decarbonisation Program providing eligible NSW businesses with up to $20,000 per site, covering up to 50% of project costs, to install permanent energy submeters. Its purpose is to help site managers identify and prioritise energy efficiency projects, demonstrate energy and cost savings from those projects, and improve submetering coverage so robust baseline data is available for future upgrades under the NSW Energy Security Safeguard. The grant targets higher-energy-use business sites across New South Wales and contributes to the state’s broader Net Zero Plan emissions-reduction goals.
