Grant Description

The Rural Land Management Grant 2025–26 supports eligible landowners and land managers in Hume City Council to undertake sustainable land management activities on rural properties, including weed, pest animal and erosion control, and protection and enhancement of native vegetation. Funding is provided as a reimbursement at $300 per property plus $20 per hectare, capped at $2,000 per property per year, with the aim of improving environmental outcomes across Hume’s rural and green wedge areas in line with Council priorities and the Victorian Catchment and Land Protection Act 1994.
