Grant Description
The RMIT University Introduction to Interpreting and Translations Skill Set Scholarships are funded by the Victorian Government to support individuals living in Victoria to study entry-level interpreting and translation courses at RMIT University in 2026. The scholarship aims to strengthen the language services workforce by supporting students who speak priority community languages such as Bangla, Somali, Pashto, Swahili, Rohingya and others. Scholarships cover the full course fees of either the Introduction to Interpreting Skill Set or the Introduction to Translating and Interpreting Skill Set, with funding of up to $2,313 or $2,599 respectively, and also include the cost of one NAATI certification test or recognised practising credential required to work as a professional interpreter or translator in Australia.
