Grant Description
Established in 1995, the Premier’s Awards for Health and Medical Research (administered by DJSIR) recognise and provide a financial incentive to Victoria’s most talented early career health and medical researchers by celebrating the quality, significance and impact of one nominated research project led predominantly from a Victorian academic or research institute. The program offers five category awards and an overall excellence award, aiming to raise researchers’ profiles, strengthen Victoria’s health and medical research workforce, and encourage sustained research careers in Victoria (including increased participation by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers). Maximum prize money is $20,000 (excluding GST) for the overall excellence winner.
