Grant Description
The Palliative Care Capability in Aged Care grant supports nationally delivered initiatives that improve the quality, coordination, and capability of palliative care within aged care settings across Australia. Funded under the Primary Health Care Quality and Coordination Program, the grant aims to strengthen workforce skills, advance care planning, and collaboration between aged care, primary care, and specialist palliative care services. Up to $22.67 million (GST exclusive) is available over four years (2026–27 to 2029–30), with funding awarded through an open competitive process to support high-quality, culturally appropriate, and evidence-based palliative care for aged care recipients and their families.
