Grant Description

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year award recognises the exceptional achievements of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student who demonstrates a strong understanding of the vocational education and training (VET) system and the significance of lifelong learning. Finalists gain recognition and become ambassadors for VET in the Territory. The winner receives $3,500, and the runner-up receives $1,500. The winner may also be nominated for the Australian Training Awards, representing NT at the national level.
