Multicultural Small Business Grant Program

Grant Description

The Multicultural Small Business Grant Program provides one-off grants of $700 to $5,000 (excluding GST) to support multicultural small businesses in Tasmania in obtaining advice, coaching, training, or delivering projects to promote sustainable growth. A 30% cash co-contribution from the applicant is required, with a maximum total project cost of $10,000.

What It Funds

This grant funds business support activities such as financial planning, risk management, business planning, marketing, diversification planning, and training. Eligible services must be provided by suitably qualified Australian service providers and contribute directly to the business's sustainable growth.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be a small business (under 19 FTE employees) registered for tax purposes in Australia with an ABN, operating in Tasmania, and with a minimum annual turnover of $40,000 in either 2022-23 or 2023-24. The business owner must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have the right visa to operate a business in Australia, having arrived within the past 10 years. Applicants must make a 30% cash co-contribution and be able to undertake approved activities within three months of grant approval.
