Local Sporting Champions

Grant Description

The Local Sporting Champions program is an open-competitive Australian Government initiative, administered by the ASC’s Sport Programs and Grants team over four application rounds each allocation year (1 May 2025–30 April 2026). It supports junior sportspeople, coaches and officials aged 12–18 by providing financial assistance (up to $750 GST excl.) towards costs of competing in official state, national or international championships. Since its commencement in November 2008, LSC has helped over 100,000 participants to achieve their sporting goals, ensuring that financial barriers—such as travel, uniforms and equipment—do not prevent talented young Australians from representing their sport.
