Grant Description

The Hazel Rowley Literary Fellowship commemorates the acclaimed biographer Hazel Rowley (1951–2011) and provides up to $20,000 to support an emerging or established Australian writer to progress a biography or related cultural or social history project. The Fellowship honours Hazel’s legacy of exploring the lives of courageous, unconventional people and supports writers whose projects promote intellectual discussion, expand horizons, and enrich public understanding through research and travel opportunities.
