The National Geographic Society’s Extreme Weather and Natural Hazards Solutions offers up to US $50,000 (approx. AUD $77,000) for two-year projects led by individuals addressing resilience and adaptation to climate-related hazards such as floods, droughts, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, heatwaves, and severe storms. This highly competitive global program supports innovative, science-based solutions that deliver measurable benefits for both people and nature, while engaging stakeholders to strengthen resilience in vulnerable communities and ecosystems. Awardees join the National Geographic Explorer Community, gaining access to training, networking, and future funding opportunities.
