Community Funding Program

Grant Description

The City of Palmerston Community Funding Program provides financial support through six funding streams that empower local residents, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations to contribute positively to community life. These streams include Community Grants (from $500) for initiatives fostering social connection and inclusion; the Environment and Sustainability Initiative (up to $20,000) for projects aligned with sustainability goals; Sponsorship (from $500) for events and initiatives with broad public or economic benefit; Representation Support (up to $250 per individual or $2,000 per team) for Palmerston residents selected to represent the community at events; Graffiti Removal (up to $500) to remove graffiti from community-owned property; and Annual School Awards ($100 per school) for student recognition within Palmerston schools. Applications are assessed based on community benefit, value for money, capacity to deliver, risk management, sustainability, and alignment with the City of Palmerston’s Community Plan.
