Grant Description

The Sponsorship of Community Events Program supports community, citywide and significant sporting events held within the Wollongong City Council area that deliver social and economic benefits to the local community. Funding is provided on a one-off basis, with the possibility of multi-year support for annual or ongoing events, and is aimed at encouraging a diverse range of events that are open to the broader community and delivered during the 2026–2027 financial year.
