Grant Description
The Better Local Business Grant provides funding of $2,500 (excluding GST) to Chambers of Commerce, small and family business associations, industry associations, and local councils in Queensland. The grant aims to foster stronger collaborative networks for small and family businesses by addressing key business concerns, issues, or opportunities within local communities during Queensland Small Business Month in May 2025.
What It Funds
The grant supports eligible activities that bring small and family business owners and stakeholders together to address local business concerns, issues, or opportunities. Funded activities must be delivered during Queensland Small Business Month in May 2025 and, if event-based, must be published in the Business Queensland Event Calendar. Recipients must use the designated Better Local Business Grant and Queensland Small Business Month branding.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have an active Australian Business Number (ABN), be based in Queensland, and belong to one of the following groups: Chambers of Commerce, small and family business associations, industry associations, or local councils. Applicants must also be solvent and have no undischarged bankrupt owners or directors. The authorised contact must have the authority to apply on behalf of the applicant organisation.
