Grant Description
The Lead Mitigation Acute Health Risk Grant Program provides targeted financial assistance to residential landowners and tenants within the Lead Abatement Strategy (LAS) area of Lake Macquarie who face an acute health risk from legacy lead contamination linked to the former Pasminco Cockle Creek Smelter. The grant supports urgent risk reduction through temporary relocation and land remediation, with funding of up to $6,000 for temporary housing and up to $40,000 for approved remediation works, prioritised based on health, environmental, and financial risk.
