Accelerating Trade Grant Program

Grant Description

The Accelerating Trade Grant Program supports Tasmanian-based enterprises in expanding their market presence and introducing Tasmanian products and services to global markets. It aims to maximise opportunities for increased promotion and trade in markets outside Tasmania. The program is part of the Tasmanian Government's Trade Strategy 2019-2025.

What It Funds

The program provides reimbursement of up to 50% of approved project costs, with a maximum of $10,000 per applicant per financial year. Eligible activities include promotional campaigns, website redesigns for new markets, digital productions, and attending trade exhibitions. The program supports projects targeting markets outside Tasmania and excludes routine business activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Tasmanian business with products or services produced, transformed, or value-added in Tasmania. Must have an ABN and be registered for GST. Annual sales turnover greater than $150,000 in at least one of the last two financial years or current financial year-to-date. Annual sales have never exceeded $10 million. Demonstrate necessary capabilities, resources, and capacity to undertake the trade development activity. Must provide matching funds (up to 50%). Auspices not allowed. Matching fund: Yes
