Grant Description
The Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (Telstra NATSIAA) is a non-acquisitive national art award presented by MAGNT on Larrakia Country, celebrating the cultural diversity and contemporary practice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists across Australia. A total prize pool of $190,000 (excl. GST) is offered each year, including the $100,000 Telstra Art Award for the most outstanding artwork and multiple $15,000 category awards, with a non-monetary People’s Choice Award. The Awards are free to enter and are intended for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artists (individuals and collectives), with a focus on recognising excellence across painting, bark painting, works on paper, 3D, multimedia and emerging practice.
