$1,000 SafeWork small business rebate

Grant Description

The $1,000 SafeWork Small Business Rebate is designed to assist small business owners in NSW in purchasing safety items that improve work health and safety for themselves and their workers. This program is funded and administered by SafeWork NSW. The rebate aims to create safer workplaces and reduce work-related injuries and illnesses.

What It Funds

Eligible activities and items that can be funded include various workplace safety items that improve the health and safety of workers. Examples include equipment and tools specifically designed to enhance workplace safety, excluding personal protective equipment like standard ear muffs, hats, boots, and workwear. The program also covers eligible educational activities completed within the past 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria

Small business owners and sole traders with an ABN and less than 50 full-time employees. Charities and not-for-profits can also apply. The application must be in the name of the registered business owner. Businesses that have received the rebate in the past five years are not eligible. Large businesses with more than 50 employees and government departments are excluded. Proof of purchase and payment for eligible safety items. Completion of an eligible SafeWork NSW education activity within the past 12 months.
