Grant Description

The Healing for Strong Families – Numbulwar grant provides culturally responsive, trauma-aware healing support for First Nations families impacted by family, domestic and sexual violence, intergenerational trauma, and involvement with the child protection system. Delivered under the Indigenous Advancement Strategy (IAS), the program supports community-led healing models co-designed with local communities to strengthen identity, resilience, safety, and wellbeing. The initiative aims to establish long-term healing services in Numbulwar, Northern Territory, through trusted organisations with strong local relationships and cultural capability. Funding ranges from $1,680,000 to $2,820,000 over up to three years, with a total funding pool of $16,560,000 across seven locations.
