Grant Description
The Strengthening Drought Resilience on Country Program is a $12 million initiative under the Future Drought Fund (2025–26 to 2027–28) that supports place-based, First Nations-led approaches to building resilience against drought and climate change. Up to six First Nations organisations or businesses will be selected as Delivery Partners to co-design and support community-driven projects that strengthen cultural connection to Country, enhance climate adaptation, and prepare communities for dry times. The program aligns with Closing the Gap Priority Reform 2 and ensures First Nations peoples lead and shape solutions for sustainable, long-term resilience.
