Grant Description
The Pritzker Architecture Prize, established in 1979 by Jay A. and Cindy Pritzker through The Hyatt Foundation, is awarded annually to a living architect whose body of built work demonstrates exceptional talent, vision and commitment, and has made significant contributions to humanity and the built environment. The laureate receives a US$100,000 grant, a formal citation certificate and a bronze medallion, and the Prize is conferred irrespective of nationality, race, creed, ideology, sex, disability or age.
