Grant Description

The JB Fairfax Award for Rural & Regional Journalism and Communications, established by a private donation from Mr John B Fairfax, AO, provides a $12,500 scholarship and three structured internships for a student aged 30 or under who is passionate about pursuing a career in rural and regional journalism/communications, offering practical experience with the RAS NSW Media Team at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Australian Community Media’s The Land Newspaper and the ABC Brisbane newsroom to support the telling of country Australia’s stories.
