Grant Description
The First Home Owner Grant is a Queensland state government initiative administered by the Queensland Revenue Office that assists eligible first-time home buyers (and their co-applicant spouse or partner) with a one-off payment of $15,000 or $30,000 towards the purchase or construction of a new home—house, unit or townhouse—valued under $750,000, to help facilitate entry into home ownership in Queensland. The grant is paid once per property (not per applicant) and offers the higher $30,000 amount for contracts signed or foundations laid between 20 November 2023 and 30 June 2025. Recipients must occupy the property as their principal place of residence within one year of completion and live there continuously for at least six months.
