Grant Description
The Floodplain Management Program 2026–27 provides technical and financial support from the NSW Government to help local government councils and eligible public land managers manage flood risk and reduce the impacts of flooding on communities. The program supports the implementation of the NSW flood prone land policy by funding studies, planning, and mitigation activities that reduce public and private losses from floods using ecologically positive approaches. For the 2026–27 funding round, the total funding pool available for new projects is between $7,000,000 and $8,000,000, with projects expected to support flood risk management planning, infrastructure improvements, and emergency preparedness initiatives across New South Wales.
