Grant Description

The Les Murray Award, named in memory of Hungarian refugee and sports broadcaster Les Murray, recognises the contributions of refugees in promoting positive awareness of forcibly displaced people in Australia. The winner receives $10,000, donated by SBS, in recognition of their work to support refugee awareness. The award is a tribute to Les Murray’s advocacy for refugee rights and commitment to uniting people through shared experiences.
