Grant Description
The Creative Time Residential Fellowships (CTRFs), offered by the May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust, support the creative and professional development of contemporary Australian children’s authors and illustrators. These one-month residencies provide rent-free accommodation away from home, allowing recipients to focus intensively on new, unpublished creative work for children and young people. Fellows may also participate in paid mentorships, public speaking, or teaching, expanding their industry networks and contributing to the appreciation of children’s literature. Special recognitions include the Mary Wilson Fellowship (for works with an environmental theme) and the Pamela and Ian Wall Fellowship.
